shipping and cork

I know the topic of the terrible shipping service and prices has been brought up a lot lately, and similar topics on cork have been brought up as well. So I wanted to know what vendors you all have experience with that are actually doing a GOOD job with shipping and cork.

The reason I ask is that I'm doing a fly grip that will have hard wood acents and I only need about 8 rings. I want descent quality rings but I don't want to pay more than a buck or so a ring since it's going on a forecast blank. I also don't want to get hammered on the shipping. I may also want to order some burl rings for another project as well.

Is there anyone out there that has good regular cork, carries burl cork and has reasonable shipping rates?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Neal's is about the best for shipping. You will have to check with him on the cork. If Neal says he has "AA" or "AAA" that's what he has.
Custom Tackle is fair with shipping I have not purchased cork from him but again give him a call, he will be square with you.
Merrick Tackle is the same as the above 2 dealers.

Neal's did have some very good Burl cork a short time ago.

Cork is cork and shipping is shipping. I havent found a significant difference in anyone. Seems these days that you rolls your dice, you take your chances. It isn't a matter of suppliers, but the availability of the product. It's a tough world for cork lovers at the moment.

I got some pretty good cork rings from Angler's Workshop. I think the shipping charges were OK, but don't recall exactly.
