I got all the supplies ready, my blank has a nice water break free suface (thanks to scotch brite), Before I make the plunge...
am I correct in assuming that with a 2 piece rod -you mask off the male end of the ferrule, so as not to mess up the fit? I'm spray painting with plasti Kote and then applying a spray clear coat. Thanks Re: refinishing a two part blank

If you're using something as thick as plasti-kote, I would mask off the male ferrule and perhaps keep about 1/8th to 3/16th open for future wear.

Don't load the paint on also. Two " dust " coats should be enough. Then check for coverage to make sure the color of the blank is not showing though. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
