One with a sharp hook on the end of the line.
Actually, I just finished a 762 walleye rod to take to Canada on our fly in this year. I built in on one of Cabela's Fish Eagle II blanks. At the new price of $20 per blank, they are hard to beat. Have not fished it yet but test casting and feel makes me think it will do just fine getting the fixings for shore lunch. Re: walleye blank

Tom,
Try a St. Croix -SCIII blank, pretty hard to beat for the quality and price, not to mention the fine action. Re: walleye blank

St Croix knows the Walleye crowd. Just north of here in North Carolina they have quite a bit of walleye fishing. I've used the St. Croix walleye models with much success. The SCIII are a great blend of performance and value. Still one of the very best. Don't go too heavy! Anything with the "L" designation should be good. Their spinning blanks are usually little less stiff than the casting models, but you can use either for either. Re: walleye blank

I whole-heartedly agree with the St. Croix SCIII blanks. I use 1-piece, just because I'm picky. I've made 5 of these for me & family & freinds. I prefer the 4-10 lb. weight, fast action. And they're loads of fun when you latch on to a nice northern! Re: walleye blank

As my general rule now for me is if it has teeth and lives in fresh water nobody knows it better than st. Croix. But for the money right now Cascade composites from Mud Hole. Re: walleye blank
