I have owned a clemens lathe for ten years and i like to find another bed section ,headstock and chuck so i can separate the wrapping and handle turning.I already have the larger motor and pulley system and I turn an the handles on the blanks so I don"t really another lathe.It seems the Renzetti is the same but pricier.I would like to ask if any one carries any of the older clemens lathe prducts. Renzetti is the original maker and most Renzetti parts will fit your lathe. They may be pricier, but they're also made by someone who has been (and continues to be) a top tool designer and machinst for many, many years. Quality is usually worth the extra money.

I also own a Clemen's lathe and discussed compatability of Clemen/Renzetti parts with the Renzetti team in Charlotte. I was told that all parts were compatable except for the bed section. You can use the Renzetti bed section with all the Celmen's parts but you will not be able to splice a Renzetti bed section to a Clemen's bed sections.

I have an old Clemens lath setup and last year ordered a Renzetti thread carriage. It didn't roll right on my bed and I ended up ordering another carriage from C&G and put the Renzetti thread gizmo on the C&G carriage. Also got the heavy duty turning motor from Renzetti which is great for removing stock-no more burning up motors.

The Renzetti carriage is adjustable and will fit either. The newer Renzetti bed sections are extruded from new dies and are exactly 2mm wider than the old ones. The same accessories should still fit, but with less play or initial wobble.

I have an original Clemens Lathe (manufactured be Renzetti) and wanted another 4 foot track. I inquired of Andy Renzetti at last years Charlotte show and he told me he had lots of old tracks for the Clemens Lathe. I placed an oprder when I returned home and he told me they had slight dings on them but they functioned perfectly. I purchased one for a very reasonalblwe price and it is great! Definitely call Renzetti. They should have what you need and are a pleasure to deal with.
