I am in the process of mounting my reel seat and I accidently bore the arbors a little too big. It is not that bad, but not as tight as I would like. Should I wrap the blank where the arbors go with a wrap of thread? (size a will do) or shim with one wrap of masking tape, or even yet, leave it alone and let the epoxy hold it? Thanks in advance.

I am swimming in my tears. There is a hunting and fishing expo an hour away from me in Springfield, Mass. I think I will at least go to that. Better than nothing i guess!!! Re: reel seat arbors

I've got my own little show on my bench - a bunch of rod work. Neck hurts, back hurts, fingers and hands cramping. Time to take a break....

Thanks to all who helped me. I used the thread and it seems to work. Only the fish will determine the fate of my crappie rod for my brother. He has to have a rod for each type of fish. I love it....Keeps me busy. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
