Hey Everyone,
My wife bought some 1 to 1 epoxy for some craft stuff, and there was one bottle of resin and hardener left each. Do you think this will work for rod building? It's brand name is ETI and I think it stands for environment technologies inc or something. It states on the bottles that it is a 1 to 1 polymer coating which makes me think it will work. I hope this isn't to vague but I'll take any advice I can get. Thanks Aaron Re: epoxy non-name brand

Yes, it will be OK..... but suggest you check the hardener's colour cast...a few posts up, Mr. Kirkman mentions that the hardener will "amber" over time.
In the early days up this way, I used Envoritex all the time, and still have several rods dating from the 80's where the finish is nearly as good as the day I laid it on. It went a bit amber, but it's a dark thread on a dark rod, so you cannot even tell. There are several private label rod finishes that are, according to the sales team at Field's Landing, ETI's formulation. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
