Looking for discontinued 12' G.Loomis Steelhead blanks

Hello all,
I am looking for a couple of discontinued G.Loomis blanks. They were a 12’ 4-8 lb. rated Steelhead type blank. I have a fellow out here in Iowa that is looking for them to use for trolling spinner rigs for walleye. As far as I can find Loomis does not have any more. If anyone has one or two or knows where I can find them, or have ideas for something that would be comparable, it would be a good thing for both he and I. He is a “Loomis guy” so other brands might not go over with him but I am open to anything.

If you find some, let me in on the secret. I need to build centerpin rods (float rods for steelhead) for use in upper New York State on Lake Ontario, and I can't seem to find any. I need rods 11'6'' and 13'. G Loomis or St. Croix. I would think we are looking for the same, so if I find any, I will let you know.

Try Richards Rod and Reel. He sells St Croix. Specials, over stocked??

Greg,
Rainshadow makes two 12' Steelhead blanks in their RX7 graphite (43 million modulus) that are rated at 4 to 8 lb, and 4 to 10 lb. I have not used these particular blanks but I have built up many of the other Rainshadow Steelhead blanks and have been very pleased with all of them. In fact, much more satisfied with them than with the recent Loomis blanks.

Rainshadow IST1384F is as close to the old Loomis GN1164 as you will Find.
