I just ordered a 10" cork grip from Cabela's and it arrived bored out to 3/4" or so, compared to the normal 1/4". The blank butt is nowhere near 3/4". Can I use 4 or 5 graphite arbors or will the walls of the cork still be too thin in between the arbors? I thought about filling it with spray foam as well. Any thoughts? Re: Hollow cork grip

Hi Jeff, you could try and use the Full Length Reel Seat Shims that Cabelas sales, they are very easy to work with, and they would fill the cork grip nicely. They are very lite weight. Just a thought. Re: Hollow cork grip

I would put it in your stores box and order the correct one , you don't want it to fall apart and have to redo the whole rod. But if that is out of the question do as Rich suggested use the long flexcoat arbors it will support the cork the full length without adding to much weight. Re: Hollow cork grip
