Has any one used the REC Titanium Nickle Recoil stripping guides. I know Winston is using the Recoil snake guides very successfully. I will need a size12 and 16 for an 8weight 4piece fly rod.
Thanks, Scott Re: REC nickle/Ti stripping guides?

i have used them on smaller rods. 2 and 3 wts. what i am thinking though is that for an 8 wt the emphasis would be on shooting line and ceramics might be slicker and shoot better. i do like the rec recoils for light rods though. Re: REC nickle/Ti stripping guides?

Scott , I've used the Recoil SF fly guides an a bunch of rods and just recently used the strippers on a 6wt switcher . I have not fished the rod yet so I can not give you any feedback on the casting performance though . The material they are constructed fron is pretty slick stuff so time will tell , I wish I could help as far as the performance goes . If the srtipers are as good as the running guides , it will be fine .
Have fun , John Got Fish ? Re: REC nickle/Ti stripping guides?

Someone recently commented that they're pretty noisy. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
