White and gold

Planning on doing a streamline thunderbird wrap with the bird being gold and the background white. What I'm wondering is will the gold be noticable under the white?

Thanks,
Steve

I've been tinkering a bit, adn have notice even with CP almost all light threads will be slightly darker when they are wrapped over darker backgrounds. On wraps where White crosses over white, it won't be a problem. Where white crosses over white, then over a dark color - it will still be white, but a darker shade.

White over Gold, I won't think will be a problem. After you wrap it, let me know if I'm right.

You might have to use a larger thread. A white over gold would show. C or D NCP white tightly packed will hide gold pretty well.

Doug,

Elegant rod! White glass or painted graphite blank? Also, do you envision any problems with salt water and the gold guides?

Bill, the rod was painted. I don't envision any problems with the guides, but I take better care of my rods than most of my customers.
