anyone ever build a rod with movable front and rear seat hoods? i was thinking if i had one long threaded barrel, i can make a split grip spinning grip where i can have adjustable reel location. then you can switche reels, lures etc and adjust to get just the "right" feeling. of course this is going to be on one of my personal rods before i subject any poor person to my strange whims.... LOL.
anyone ever try something like this? steve Re: adjustable reel location...

Why not just go with a "Tennessee" handle -- long cork with sliding rings? Re: adjustable reel location...

Sorry, I forgot (happens more frequently it seems).... MudHole has a fully adjustable reel seat that you also might want to check out.
I've used these on heavy saltwater surf rods (up to All Star Breakaways) over cork tape with no problem at all. They're listed on their site under reel seats / Mudhole brand Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
