Would there be a problem using a Tormek grinder for preparing guide feet?

not sure what a "tormek" grinder is. if it is like a dremel the answer is no problem. i use a dremel with the proper stone and it works great. just be gentle and use a light touch. it takes material off pretty fast.

That's a fine, fine tool. Because it's a water cooled wheel, it's a safe bet for guide feet. You're not likely to overheat anything. But you may find that you have to resurface you wheel to the coarser grit to get much work done on the hard metal of most guides.

Check the new issue of RodMaker for what might be a much easier way for you to do this.
