Would there be a problem using a Tormek grinder for preparing guide feet?

not sure what a "tormek" grinder is. if it is like a dremel the answer is no problem. i use a dremel with the proper stone and it works great. just be gentle and use a light touch. it takes material off pretty fast. Re: Preparing guide feet with a grinder

That's a fine, fine tool. Because it's a water cooled wheel, it's a safe bet for guide feet. You're not likely to overheat anything. But you may find that you have to resurface you wheel to the coarser grit to get much work done on the hard metal of most guides.
