If the reel seat purchased is marked 420, then a blank with the diameter of 382 should fit in without any boring, right? This is my first rod and I am going with a loomis gl3. I picked up a struble u-20 for a great price and I am going to get a grip inleted for me from anglers workshop. Are these componets going to work ok? Thanks Tom Re: reel seat bore

You should be okay. You may need to shim the seat a bit to get a nice fit. Some heavy thread or string wound around the seat area makes a good bushing.
