Hey guys. I am doing an all blue rod. I am using an amtac blue skeleton for the reel seat. I also am using darker cocabola for insert and butt cap. What would you do for thread colors? I am matching it to a blue reel. The cork on the handle is alternating Regular then burl all the way up. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks for you time.
Sincerely, Dan W. colville Re: color combo's for blue rod

I have a St. Croix SCIV on the way which will be blue. I was planning on using cobalt as the primary color with silver and red mixed in as trim bands, etc.

I also used cobalt with metallic silver trim (one rod with silver inlays, one with trim bands on each wrap). It looks really good. I've yet to do it with color preserver (got one now that I'm using cobalt and blue that I plan on color preserving)... but I think it'll look good.
