I was reading a post below about reaming reelseats and wondered if anyone has some tips or techniques to how they ream seats. I recently reamed a fuji ECSM well beyond what its normal size and it took me FOREVER. So how do you guys ream seats? Any easy ways?
Thanks, Scott Sheets Re: Reaming graphite reelseats

I will usually only ream 1/2 size up. I really became frustrated when trying to do this with chain saw files - excessive time and outta round. Keep pretty good stock of various sizes. Use home made reamer with fine spiral cloth Rod Bonded to old blank. Takes about a minute or two to fit up when chucked into hand drill.

What Bill said...
Just yesterday I made some fine adjustments to some ECSM by sacrificing a cheap blank, cut into 14" sections. I then used 3M self adhesive outdoor ladder grip tape. Split the tape so it is 1/2" wide and spiral it around the blank piece before you remove the backing. It will make it easier to position if you do this. then just remove the backing as you spiral it arounf\d the blank section. Leave a little gap between the spirals so the ecess material has somewhere to go. Only took a little bit of hand work to make the adjustment, however if I had to go more than .5 I think I would just order one with a closer fit. The homemade reamers work fine for cork also...
