Date: February 15, 2005 12:04AM Hi, been away from wrapping for many years but trying a return trip to a great and rewarding hobby (life). Anyway if I ordered the reel seat just a hair too close is it Ok to mildly ream it to get it lower on the blank? It's a fugi TCS-17 and I will be splitting it. Thanks for any input. If there's room in the seat barrel for reaming then you should be fine. Although, reaming a nylon reel seat isn't exactly fun or easy. But if you can take out a half mm or so you should still retain plenty of strength in the threaded barrel.

Thanks for that input. After sliding it on the blank for another look it stops at just about the perfect position. Fits real tight though.Blank is a Seeker BS706-S Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
