I brought a set of Fuji BLNAG129 for my 1st rod building attempt and in the process of using Tom's static placement theory everything works out fine until last 12 to 18 inches before to tip and the line starts hitting the rod. I would need to place a guide about 2 " apart to solve the problem and this seems like this would defeat the purpose of the concept guide system. What do I need to do buy a set of guides with a higher foot and if so does anybody know what that model may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated Re: Guides

Higher frames only make the twisting problem worse. Keep them small and low and just use more of them. As you apply more and more pressure the tip area will straighten out. I think you could put those more like 4" apart and you'll be fine. Best thing to do is use a spiral wrap and get those guides down onto the bottom of the rod.
