I have an old Fenwick HMG graphite casting rod from around 1980. It is a GFC556, 5'5", 6power rated 12-25lb line, 3/8-???oz lure (the upper range is rubbed out) says 1 3/8 oz shaft. It has a serial number (I assume that's what it is) of P363943. I caught my biggest largemouth (6+ lbs) on this rod in a farm pond when I was in college. Any ideas how this rod would compare to things today and if it might be worth anything? I tried to google it but didn't find much.

The old Fenwicks were 33 mil graphite I believe, which puts you in the same category as the Rainshadow Forecast blanks graphite wise.
Rods in bass fishing have really gotten longer over the years and the short rods are not in as much favor as they used to be, but there are those that still use them in close combat situations. Everything was 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 back then. They also have changed quite a bit action/performance wise.
Monetarily I don't think it's worth much, sounds like it has a few fine memories behind it, and needs to be displayed on the wall somehow with the reel it fished with if you still have it.
I might be wrong, but I don't think the old graphite rods will ever have the mystique of the old cane or fiberglass rods. Partly because there are so many of them, and partly because they didn't take as big a bite out of your family budget as a quality glass or cane rod did back in their day.
I remember how much my first Fenwick Fenglass and Maxwell drift rods cost me compared to what one costs today in percentage of a week's wages. Top end now is a lot easier on the pocketbook than it used to be.

It's one of the original HMG's, maybe even one of the early grey colored models. It would be a bit heavy by today's standards but would still hold up pretty well in other areas.

I have seen those rods, like new and with their original vinyl cases, sell for over $100 to collectors. Hard used models probably won't bring anywhere near that much, however.
