Morning everyone. I've got a question. Since I don't use much EVA (except for inlays) what is the best method ya'll have found for reaming out the ID? I have a 14" grip going on a standup rod, and need to ream the butt grip to accomodate the large butt OD. Regards......Doug@ TCRds Re: Reaming EVA

Jay, the largest OD of the blank is right at 1" the ID of the EVA started out at about 9/16" / 5/8". The smallest OD of the blank is 3/4". The grip is 14" straight. Regards......Doug@ TCRds Re: Reaming EVA

Do it right, and it should slide right down into place.
If you feel the need to rem EVA - by hand - good luck. Much easier to power ream EVA if you have that ability. I haev a few spare blanks with coarse grit epoxied into it. Others use a belt sander belt epoxied in place. Re: Reaming EVA

LOL I was thinking the same thing about hand reaming...that's why I asked the ID & OD sizes. I was hoping to tell you just slide that sucker in place as EVA can expand quite a bit. It does sound like you're going to need a little reaming, but don't think you need to over-do it. As I said EVA can expand alot. Rod Bond is the best 'lube' I know for helping tight grips slide down the blank.
