I just received a couple of Matrix blanks and am really impressed. They are sweet. Very crisp, very straight and a beautiful finish! In fact, I would go so far as to say that the finish is way past good, It's beautiful!!

I agree. I was impressed with the one I got too. Very nice finish and really straight. I'm building this rod for a fund raising @#$%& and I think I'll hate to part with it. Maybe I should set the minimum bid really high.

Beautiful color, interesting texturing and smooth performance on everyone that I've finished thus far.

Tom posted one a while back, but I think that's the only one so far. I plan to do mine in a couple of days.

Darn, if they were only blue!! I am definitely "green challenged" (definitely a phobia)!!

Putter - Why don't you just tell your customers that you found a way to do a "green checkerborad marble" on the butt section. They would think you were a genius!

I've only seen picutres of the matrix blanks and I'm sure that doesn't do them justice, but they do look very good. My question is has anyone fished them? I wouldn't mind building one for a heavy saltwater fly rod for myself. How do they compair to other graphite sticks? What do your customers say?

Oh! And what color wraps have you used or seen that look good with these blanks?

I'm building one now to take to Charlotte -- anyone who is interested is welcome to stop on by and take it over to the casting pool. I'll have a couple of other fly rods there as well . two 9wt and one 10/11wt as well as one or two lighter ones all spooled up with line ready to play
