I can only sugest the best I have seen. Ken Preston's DVD, Tom Kirkman's Book (Rod-Building Guide) and Dale Celmens book (Advanced Custom Rod building). Also subscribe to Rodmaker magazine and the last you have already found this great site. rodbuilding.org

Martin - our mate Myles really said it all. For starters, you can't hardly do better than all 5 of his suggestions. (I also like the compact FlexCoat booklet for it's practical how-to-get-started-now style and vivid illustrations.) Peruse the RBO Posts & Library Articles that address your nagging questions as they emerge, and in a few months, or even weeks, your knowledge will grow by leaps and bounds. Like Putter says, in a year, you can have a lifetime of learning from the sources Myles named. Enjoy! -Cliff Hall-
