Hoping to get some feedback from someone that has used these guides - Fuji TLSG or TSG. I have always used traditional snake guides on the fly rods that I have built, but after reading posts on this site thought I might give the ceramics a try. My question is, it looks like the TLSG guides are a lower profile than the TSG - to the point that the benefit of the ceramics may be taken away due to the fly line coming in contact with the blank/guide wrap. Any truth to this thought? Thanks in advance for any information. FYI - guides are for a 9' #7 to be used in saltwater. Re: Fuji TLSG vs. TSG Fly Guides

Contract Angler's Resource/Fuji on the left and ask them. They have information about the heights of the Fuji guides and they're pretty prompt about getting back to you. Re: Fuji TLSG vs. TSG Fly Guides

Brian,I use the Titanium TSG's on just about all the fly rods I build, with TNSG's for stripper's.
I think they are the best, and a VAST improvement on any snakes, with less thread being used, you tend to impede the action of the rod a lot less. As for line slap against the rod, this used to happen to me between the stripper and first running guide, but after putting an extra stripper approx. 4inches above bottom stripper my problem was sorted. Think I came accross that tip here actually, so thanks to whoever sugested it originaly. Martin E. Re: Fuji TLSG vs. TSG Fly Guides
