I have a Pac Bay #4 curved uni-butt with a 1.0" ID ferrule. I want to attach it to a solid glass blank that is .6" OD. I was thinking I could turn a wooden arbor on the lathe, drill it to fit the blank, epoxy it to the blank and epoxy that assembly into the ferrule. Is this a good idea? Is there a better way to mount a large ID ferrule to a smaller OD blank? Thanks. Re: Blank into Uni-Butt ferrule

That would likely be okay. Or, you could get some scrap fiberglass blanks and make a sleeve (or two) in that area until you have the correct diameter. Either method would be better than using tape to build up the area.

Do you think It'd be ok to use a 1" o.d. graphite arbor? Jay Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
