The way I understand it I want to make a square for each tread high & a square for each tread wide? Then I have to make a graphic sized to the demensions of my graph? I think I understand the rest but would be willing to listen to any advice. I could possibly even do it in microsoft word or Paint Shop Pro. I certainly wouldn't be object to purchasing a program to do the work for me. Has anyone used the rod wave software? I see a lot of talk about PC stitch but rod weave is made just for rodcrafters. Even the old manual method escapes me. I wouldn't mind doing a simple weave that way either. I sure wish I could make Charlotte seeing how is a lot eaiser.

Floyd; Why don't you go ahead and try pcstitch. You can do so for free and if you like it then you can buy. It will not let you print anything unless you buy but you are able to play with the rest of the program. The nice thing about it is you can scan an image into your computer and then take it into pcstitch and build your pattern. there is a place that will allow you to pick the number of design threads and will maintain the aspect ratio for you. If you try it a have more questions E-Mail me and I'll try to help.

The patterns you got from me were mostly made by tracing the image onto the graph paper then developing the left list, not that hard to do, takes a while to develop the more complex patterns but practice makes perfect. Doesn't take that long to take a fish picture from a catologue, enlarge it to the right size you want, trace it, and develop the left list.email if I can help Re: making your own weave patterns

This is the first time that I have ever heard of "Rod Weave" software. From the info on their web site, it seems like it might be worthwhile. I'm really surprized that it has never been mentioned on this board. Has anyone tried it?????
