Marbled Grip

Some time back there was a post that started me thinking about marbleing a grip. Last night I marbled a cigar grip and just posted a picture on the photo page. I have no idea how this would hold up over time, but will probably use it on a rod I'm going to build for my son, since he thinks it looks very cool. But, he's only 14.

Nice job Gerry! I've never done the entire grip, but have recessed 1/2" wide rings and marbilized inlays in a couple of grips. So far, they have held up nicely.

Gerry,

Nice Job. Really nice job for your first marbleing job. What's the grip material, cork or EVA Foam??

[www.fishingphotos.net] This is the only pictures I have of a marbled insert. Have done several more since. The more you do...the better they look.

Hank,
The underlying material is cork.
