How do you insert a web site link so all a person has to do is click it and it opens instead of having to copy and paste it???
Thanks....Bob Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/26/2005 02:44PM by Bob Crook. Re: Question for all you computer guru's???

I just highlight the address above on the address bar. Do this by left clicking just to the right side of the address. Then right click on it, click on copy when that pops up. Then, where you want it at, right click and click on paste when that pops up. That most times works for me.

Normally, this new software will take any recognizable URL and convert it so all the user has to do is click on the link. For instance, below I will type in the RodMaker Magazine URL, but it won't show up as the actual URL. Instead it should show up as a direct link. Let's see what happens:
[www.rodmakermagazine.com] .......... Re: Question for all you computer guru's???

Bill: You possibly did not include the full URL with the "["]; in front of the rest. I will try it for you that way:
[www.willierods.com] (Comment added as an edit: Yes, it worked. I pasted it in with everything including the "["];. The software removed that part but created the link.) Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 01/26/2005 03:34PM by Tom Doyle. Re: Question for all you computer guru's???

Bob If you're using Internet Explorer you can click and hold your left button on the icon next to the URL. Then drag and drop it into most any e-mail program. Here's a test maybe we'll both learn something here [www.rodbuilding.org] It never seems to show up on my screen but the receipient gets it as a link.
floyd It worked on our board. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/26/2005 06:15PM by floyd cashmore. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
