Northwest Rod Builders get together

The rod builders get together in Woodland Washington is coming together really well. There are about 30 people that have confirmed that they will be there but there is still room for more. If you are planning to join the fun send Todd Vivien an e-mail to confirm that you will be there, ([email protected]).

There are also a couple of spots still available for the BYOB (Build Your Own Blank) session that will be on Thur. the 7th prior to the get together on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of April. If you are interested in building a blank yourself and learning the whole process from beginning to end, again contact Todd to confirm.

A schedule for the presentations and demonstrations is still being worked on but should be available soon.

There will be a map for those driving available soon and for those flying into Portland (PDX), which is about 25 miles south of Woodland, if you need a ride from the airport in Portland to Woodland send an e-mail to either Todd or myself.

For those that need to make motel reservations here are three local motels the first two of which are within walking distance.
Best Western (360) 225-1000
Econo Lodge (360) 225-6548
Lewis River Inn (360) 225-6257
In the past the Lewis River Inn which is about 1/2 mile away has had the best rates and has some rooms with a view of the river.

A bunch of us will be going to a little restaurant called Frani's on Sat. that has great Halibut fish and chips. For those who want to join us please confirm with Todd or you might have to eat chicken or something equally disgusting.
