I live in Wallingford and use Hock & Hackle (hookhack.com) out of Albany, NY, they specialize in Fly Fishing. They have good prices, excellent service and are helpful on the phone. When you go to there site sign up for their special mailing list for a discount on your orders. I usually get the order with in a couple of days and can't remember ever having a back order. Ray, go to the Mudhole website and get a catalog. Great people to deal with. They will have everything you will need and ship quickly. I also use Merrick, but I dint know if they sell to the public or not. Good Luck and have fun. Bill O Re: SUPPLIES IN CT AREA

Ray: I live in Ridgefield (CT) and have dealt with a number of the suppliers on the left with good success. Local guy who has great service is J Stockard (jsflyfishing.com) in Kent, CT -- great service and fast delivery. Rod blanks and other components I've ordered from Black Dog (great Tiger Eye blanks and good components), Schneider (Rainshadow blanks) and Dan Craft (superb ultra fast FT blanks). If you want to discuss more/different, let me know.
