problems with cp

i used gudebrod color preserver on my butt wrap. i used a 80/20 mix with alcohol and most of the threads loosed . why? what did i do wrong ?

If you used NCP thread it will happen , don't ask me why , but it happened to me also ........... that's why I don't use CP unless I really have to . I'm sure you will get a valid reason it did , but NCP is the only thread I've had it happen to when I mixed the 2 in a but wrap. Good Luck......... JD

Thread swells when you add CP or anything liquid. The mass of thread on a butt wrap causes it to be very noticeable. What you want to do is "tack" down the centers and corners wtih drops of CP, then after that drives go back and apply normally.
