I know, I know, this is probably redundant, but can anybody tell me if there is a height difference between the standard Fuji NSG guides and the LNSG (Concept) guides in the SIC models. Has anybody measured the heights between the two? Are the guides identical? If it's a weight difference, can you visually tell the difference? If they are fairly similar, why doesn't Fuji just eliminate one or the other? Oh, by the way, the latest and greatest (concept guides) are more expensive. If the concept frames in the larger sizes (say #12 and above) are lower in height, isn't that taking away the performance (in flyrod strippers). Now, I’m just talking about the Fuji low frames in general (I've read all about the high frames, but I like the looks of the low frames). Any thoughts? Re: Guide Height Flyrod Strippers

i am working on a fly rod where the guide hieght is a problem. Where they are located, i am having difficulity with the second guide. I need a low profile guide but not as low as the single foot fly loop guide. I have to go with another stripper guide in order to transition my line up the pole with less friction. My though is just make sure that when they are on the rod, there is a smooth line connecting the guides or you will be increasing your drag on a cast which will decrease your casting distance.
