Sam,
St. Croix new SCIV tournament series blanks could be exaclty what you are looking for. model 4C73MHF is ideal for Carolina Rig at 7'3" or you could go to the 7'6" model 4C76MHMF The last 1 ft. at the butt is telescopic, and that helps facilitate transporting, but won't deter from the perfomance. Rogue has a very nice one piece 7'6" blank that I've used for a carolina rig. Very light and sensitive, but tons of power on the sweeping hookset. Re: 7 ft 6 inch 1 piece blanks?

I built one on a CTS blank (sponsor list) out of New Zealand. I think it's one of the nicest rod blanks I've ever had in my hands. Their color choices are second to none!
