You can get them out of microwaves, the motors that drive the turntable. Go to your local junkyard or electrical repair shop. You can get a 220volt one here in oz that suits a Pacbay power wrapper, not sure if they suit the 240volts though as mine shorted the other day, they say they should work with no problems on 240volts, I don't think this was the problem with mine as it started to make a few noises. If your interested give me an email bearclawrods@iprimus.com.au and I will find the price for you, they are 36rpm though just use a couple of pulleys to reduce speed. Other than that the microwave motors range from around 6rpm up to 18rpm. They are cheap most of the time free.

Hi there David,
If your having trouble geting the 240v motors, just go with the 110v and use a transformer.
Living over here in the U.K. it's prety difficult to source ready made power wrappers and dryers and most other jigs and tools. Most of the machines I have are 110v, and they use a 240/110v 45w transformer, which is the size of a small coffee cup.
