Dear all,
If I want to build a traditional carp rod (for bobber fishing), let's say 13 to maybe 15 feet long 3 pc and a so called test curve of about 1 to 1.5 lbs. Which blank(s) do you recommend ? I go my eye on the 2F14010 (SCII), the PRF15010/11-3 (PacBay) or the G130L3 (SCIII), but those are all spey or stealhead blanks. I don't know if they will do the job. Any suggestions are very welcome ! Thanks a lot in advance, Hugo Oppelaar Re: Blank suggestion

Try talongraphite.com, an American rod manufacturer of carp blanks/rods. Angler's Workshop can get them for you. Spencer Re: Blank suggestion

Thank you very much for pointing me to the right direction ! I did a lot of searches for carp blanks, but couldn’t find a source where you can actually purchase them. There must be a lot of them out there. Stores are loaded with carp rods over here, but the few people that build them keep it a secret where they got them from. Very understandable, but also very annoying when you want to build your own. I wonder if the larger blank producers have two markets. One for all the blanks we can easily purchase (fly, spin, bass, steelhead etc) and one for Europe that you can’t purchase (carp and different types of course fishing). The (not custom) rods in our stores look very much like they are from PacBay, StCroix and even Rainshadow….. Thanks again. Hugo Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
