I have built the Tiger Eye and PT, but have no experience with the Talon. The Tiger Eye makes a very nice rod and loads easily for in close casting. The 8 foot PT is also very nice to cast in close, is a little more crisp, loads quickly and in my opinion has a better finish, really beautiful. Cabela's has lowered the prices on their 2005 blanks too. Cabela's does not offer the PT in a 7 foot 6, 3 weight, but I fish a lot of small streams and find the 8 foot length to be more suitable for all kinds of reasons.
