I got home at lunch and measured two trim bands. One is 9 A Gudebrod metallic threads and it measures just under 2 mm. The other is 20 threads and measures right at 4 mm. These are packed threads...

For me Gudebrod size A Nylon is 3.8, Madeira Polyneon is 4.1.

What are you using this calculation for? This is the most important calc for me when I'm designing and planning a wrap.

For A thread weaves using Gudebrod black nylon as the turning thread, I divide the number of turns by 4.75 and it usual is accurate to within 1mm of the actual weave length.
