Hi all, What can I use to fill in an 1/8" chip in my calstar graphiter 20lb spinner. It started out as a gouge, but the chip broke out. Its over a wrap, but not down to the thread. Would high build work? Do I sand it smooth first. Its more appearence than anything else. I go on longrange trips to the Tortugas, & its brutal on equipment. Thanks in advance for your help, Randy Re: chip repair

Scuff the finish with Scotchbrite, paying special attention to the edges of the chip, rounding it a bit there, perhaps using some fine sandpaper on those edges. (Protect unfinished blank and guide with masking tape first.) Then epoxy with high build and turn as usual. It won't be as level as you want, but better than before, really, only you will know.
