Hi all,I`m in the planning stage of a "Bling Bling" rod that will have a gloss black blank,AmTac trichrome and gold guides and a gold Fuji reel seat.I`m wondering what others use for the base grip when flocking. My plan is to use the pile of sorted out cork rings that were not going to get used anyway and fill in the rough spots.Thought is the flock will seal the filler and not allow it to fall out.Any thoughts?? Any light, fairly rigid material is fine. Cork or balsa both work well.
The adhesive is thick and usually serves to fill in any pits or holes that are not simply terrible. Low grade cork is a good "base" for flocked grips. ......... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
