Where can you buy thread that comes in differnt colars?I have some that goes on the rod blank like a rainbow.anyone no where to get some of this?

Rick; If what you are talking about has different colors that start and stop along the length of the thread it's a variegated thread. If it's an old spool you may not be able to get it anymore. However if you will go to one of the web sites mentioned above and then to the thread section many of them have a chart that will show you what threads are available.

Sulky thread metallic comes in several variegated type thread or multicolor. Try calling fabric and sewing stores in your area. Look up Sulky on internet--I think the website has colors shown.
