You too? I was going to research this myself very soon.

Ray, if you think you can swing WAY down to my house, I have an idea for these blanks which you might like, I just hope it pans out.

Sounds good Billy! I had Kenny's number here somewhere. I got it from Wylie Wiggins. Called him twice for a catalog but never got one. Hoping things will be different now, that was 2003. I have one rod built on their blank. I really like it. It's one of Wylie's Laser Rods. It's great for night fishing!!

Ray, I sent Wylie an e-mail today, lol.

I'm thinking about ordering a bunch of Kencor's, just so I could pull on them and see what I like myself. I did the same thing last year with GUSA, that worked out really well.

Sorry I missed the post guys!
Billy check your emails I just sent the number off to you this morning. Kenny's number has been posted on the Manufacturers Page of my website for years if you are ever to need it again.
Ray, that rod you have is not a Kencor, that's one of the lower end rods I tested for years before ever building them into laser rods. I took one surf fishing once with an over sized reel and 50 pound test. You can throw three ounce sinkers off those blanks but it isn't easy being rated for 8 to 20 pound line and 6' 6" in length. I got a three foot long shark, what a ride! I heard glue cracking in the reel seat and the rod was bent all the way to the reel seat. I did bow to that fish! It's white translucent fiberglass right, Ray?
Thanks for the plug Ray!

Tight lines and wraps guys,
Wylie

I guess I'm slipping Ray because I do remember the rod now. Straight black wrapping no frills on a B510 two section with the metal hooded reel seat and low end EVA grips. It's all coming back to me now!

Man does time fly!

Tight wraps and lines Ray,
Wylie
