A new guy would just like to express his appreciation to the moderator and all on the boad for all the information. Just beginning on my first rod fly rod and think the board is 5 Star! Thanks to all.

I'll second that!!! The key (besides Tom K.) is the amount of participation and willingness of everyone to contribute and help each other!

Even the newest builder will come up with something that the more experienced builder didn't know or hasn't thought of. Where else can you ask a question and get it answered sometimes in minutes!!! The level of participation and knowledge on this site is amazing!!

Even though I have never actually met them, I have made some good friends because of this site (where else could you meet a Putter, Outback and a Mick all in one place???)

the collective knowlege and experience on this board is gigantic. no where else can you tap into such a reservoir. the information age we live in is amazing. it has brought my rod building to a level i could not have reached otherwise. by seeing the oustanding work of others it lets you know what is possible. it organizes the sourses of components
in such a way that it saves incredible amounts of time. it eliminates
a lot of trial and error.
