Marbleizing Question

I was trying my first attempt at this, When I applied the flex coat rod finish on the thread, I immediately went ahead and started applying
the pigments from testors paint. The very first thing that happened was the colors started to spread/bleed like crazy.

Should I have waited to apply the pigments or should the pigments have been applied first then wait for it to dry then apply the rod finish.

Also how are the patterns acheived?

Thanks
Fernando

Fernando
Did you mix the pigments into different mixtures of your Flex Coat BEFORE you started to put it on the rod??

That's where you made your mistake. Each color pigment has to be mixed with finish before marbleizing!! Check the library at the top of this page for an article that explains the process
