got some narrow masking from a sponsor at the left and had almost no sticky on it. is useless. bought some 1/2' tape from a hardware store and it tears off in a jagged edge every 2' or so. is there a certain brand/type that is preferred? THANKS Re: masking tape questions

I get mine from Kmart. Standard blue painting tape. Old tape dries out, looses it's stick and gets brittle. Find someplace that most likely moves it's tape, like a home depot or something. Re: masking tape questions

John,
Found some 1/4" masking tape at an auto paint supply store and it seems to work well - "Scotch Masking Tape - Pressure Sensative for Professional Auto Refinishing 233". It's 1/4 in X 60 yd. Hope this helps. Stan Re: masking tape questions

Get the 3-M brand, or the blue stuff, works a lot better than the cheap stuff.

Agree with Murf; also, WalMart has some 1/4" in their craft department that works well for me.

Are you using the 1/4 inch tap to hold guides on? If so may I recommend using surgical tubing. Tubbing well alow you to readjust your guides if needed. You also have a hidden email address

Anything by 3M works well for me. I won't waste my money on other brands. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
