We now have in stock, the first 2005 run of Signature V 10'0" 3pc 7 and 8wt blanks. These are really sweet and some of the lightest, fast action blanks available! We have a new "complete" finish available as well. This finish coats the ferrule so there is no longer an exposed sanded ferrule. This new treatment reduces ferrule problems.
Please feel free to call me at 541-782-4404 or e-mail with orders or questions. Thanks, Dan Craft Five Rivers Rod Blanks Re: Five Rivers Signature V 10'0" 3pc 7 and 8wt blanks

I haven't seen the new 10' version, but have one of the 9 footers and must say it's a very nice blank. Very nicely finished and as far as multi-piece blanks go, extremely straight.

Tom,
Thanks for your comments! In all fairness I think the blank you have is the FT model. Dan Re: Five Rivers Signature V 10'0" 3pc 7 and 8wt blanks

As someone who has tried every series of Five Rivers blanks that Dan sells - Sig. III, IV, V, FT, and 7pc. IM6 - I can say that they all have excellent ferrule fit and straightness. In fact, I have never used any brand of blanks that were as nice as Dan's in ferrule fit and straightness. Most companies' 2pc. blanks aren't as straight as Dan's multipiece models. Dan, I don't know what you do differently, either cull out more blanks as "seconds" or just make them straighter to begin with, but you've never sent me anything that wasn't perfect. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year. Re: Five Rivers Signature V 10'0" 3pc 7 and 8wt blanks

I still haven't tried the FT's yet,but have several SIG V's including the 10ft 7wt(casts a 8wt great too),which is my go to coho/light summer steelhead rod.MAN are these blanks LIGHT!!!
I LOVE this rod and combined with the great looks and performance of the full set of AT Holographic ring/TiChrome frame guides and pewter colored Struble U15 seat, finished with dark grape and holographic metallic gold trim,it has now taken the place of my factory Loomis GLX. It's simply an AWSOME stick for big river fishing.Great line control, lots of power in the butt,a sensative tip,and extremely fast recovery speed. The ultra light weight(I couldn't believe how light the blank was.It was lighter than any of the 9ft 5wt blanks I had on hand) and ceramic guides makes it a joy to cast over the day(unlike most 10ft heavier line weight rods),yet has no problem handling heavy sinking tips or big fish. As Steve mentioned,ALL of the blanks seem very straight with great ferrule fit regardless of the model. Re: Five Rivers Signature V 10'0" 3pc 7 and 8wt blanks
