If you you're talking fly rod guides, I like Pac Bay TiCH single foot snakes. I also like the SiC ceramics but I'm not sure if they offer a significant advantage over the TiCH snakes during actual use.

I just ordered a bag full of REC Recoils , they make them in light , and heavy wire , coated for slockness and corrosion resistance . You can also bend them and they spring back to shape . The main reason I like to use them on the lighter flyrods is that they are incredibly light weight . Most rods over 4wt , I try to ust SIC incerts if possible , followed by Alconites . The Pac Bay guides that Kevin mentioned also are great guides , I have them on several of my own rods , but I still prefer the Recoils for the weight reduction . Just my oppinion , John Got Fish ? I am addicted to the titanium frame SIC fuji guides. But lots of times I need to go cheaper so I use the Fuji Alconite. I bought some of the other brands when they came out with the gold rings but they all seem a lot heavier to me. Currently I am using some REC recoil guides for the 4 guides on the top of a 2-3 wt and am going to put titanium SEC for the first 5 on the bottom. I got a cerment top cheap so it is riding the top. Rod seemd to cast okay with this combination in test with taped on guides. Re: Single foot guides

John,
Are you using the Recoil stripper and tip-tops as well? If not what are you using? I'm thinking about using the recoil snake guides on a project but I think the recoil stripper guides and tip-tops are prety ugly. Does anyone know if there are any better stripper guides and tip tops out there that would match the color of the recoils? Something like the Pac Bay N type strippers would be nice, but I don't know if their TiCH finish would match the recoils. Also, does anyone know how the weight of the recoil light wire guides compare to the pack bay TiCH light wire guides? Mark Re: Single foot guides

No question for me, Forecast single foot flys in any of their materials or finish. They go on all my spinning and casting rods. Re: Single foot guides
