What are you guys using to finish the wood portion of a custom reel seat or grip. Do you apply finish the whole grip, incuding the cork or only the wood.
Any info would be great! Thanks in advance. Keep your feet on the ground, and your ankles right above them! Klinkerone Re: Wood Finish

I like to use tung oil for penetration followed by exterior poly urethane on grips. On cork, I wouldn't use anything but cork sealer. Re: Wood Finish

Many here, myself included, use Birchwood @#$%& Tru Oil for the entire grip. You can get the finish you prefer by varying the number of coats you apply. Run Tru Oil in the search portion of this site for more comprehensive information. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Re: Wood Finish

Go to page 2 of this site, click on the thread "Tips on Using Tru Oil" by Jim Reinhardt. Click on the website he mentions and scroll through that-it'll show you the value of using Tru Oil on wood...
There's other products for wood, but few, if any, are up to it's qualities... Putter Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
