What white threads turn out the clearest?

I have used gudebrod white silk in 00 and was wondering which company makes threads that turn out the clearest. Also, does nylon generally turn out clearer or silk. Your input is appreciated.

Silk has a tendancy to darken even with sealer

Dear Brian: By clearest do you mean color fastness? Or is clarity the issue? For color fastness, use NCP thread. Any other nylon will bleed. You will get some shade of off white and not always that attractive and appealing.

I heard and read about builders, specially on bambbo, use MONOFILAMENT (CLEAR) Nylon. They say it has a GLASS look when finished is dry. Since i read the post in the board i did a "test" my-self, in a piece of graphite (BLACK) and seems to be what they say. But i do not know how long it will last in a FISHING ROD. I admit i had a hard-time wrapping it since it twisted a lot. If you release tension it unwraps for sure.

Hope this Helps!
