Spiral Wrap with DBSG's

I am interested in hearing from anyone what the pros and cons might be for using DBSG guides for running guides on a spiral wrap stand up rod. As one who mainly builds fly rods and light spinning rods using single foot guides these are appealing.

Are you going to build one for yourself for your Alaska trip this year? I don't have any working knowledge of these guides, Stan, so I'm no help. Maybe Billy V. will jump in on this one and give you some ideas???

Putter

Mostly they just intrigue me and I've never seen them used by anyone but you may have a good idea as to where to try them. They just appear to have been made for running gudes on a spiral wrap.

Stan seen them on a few rods out here in Oz, don't know much about spiral wraps, but my way of thinking is you might need a few more while in the transition due to narrow feature of guide ring. Don't quote me on this though. They look great in a conventional setup.

p.s. I couldn't find eight friends to send the email onto so my Santa won't bring a renzetti lathe for xmas

Thanks Myles,

I wouldn't use them in the transition portion only as the running guides. Sorry about the renzetti but I'm in the same fix if thats any comfort. Merry Xmas anyway.
