Marble Wraps???

Hi All, ok so I got hooked on the effects and looks of the Marble Wraps! They are extreemly impressive! SO I took a shot at it the other night but could not get the same brilliance as what I have seen in the Photo's on this site. Couple of questions: How much paint should I be using, can you use too much? I tried using the Testor Model paints but are there others out there that are better? How long should I wait to start adding different colors?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks Tom

It really doesn't take very much paint, particularly with the darker colors. I've done quite a bit with white, however, and it takes about twice as much to get a really nice, bright, white coloration.

Normally, on a 6cc mix broken down into maybe three 2cc each parts, I don't use more than a couple drops of pigments in gold, silver, black, etc., but as many as 10 to 15 with white, yellow, etc.

Thanks Tom! But when you say pigments are you draining out some of the paint to get the thicker stuff or does it not matter?

If you are using something like Testor's paint, let it settle good and pour as much of the solvent off as you can. You want the thick pigment so you use very little on a toothpick. There is an article in the library above

Try raiding your wife's or girlfriends nailpolish as I have been having very good sucess with it.

Thanks Myles!! Good idea. I have a bunch of it at home as I use nailpolish to paint up some of the Salt Water Flies I tie up...

I do as Mike says - pour out the liquid solvent and use only the thick pigment in the bottom of the jar. You really don't want to add any solvents to your epoxy.
