Hey Tom and anyone else who may get to talk to somoeone at St. Croix before the show, please ask them to bring along any info on any upcoming ice rod blanks. It would be greatly appreicated if they had some current production ice blanks "on sale" at the show too! That goes for all the brands too! Hey, it's Christmas time, we're supposed to wish!! Thanks!

Will do. In fact, Dave asked me what he should bring. It never occurred to me to have him bring any ice rod blanks. I'll pass it along.

To my knowledge the blanks listed in their St. Croix 2005 rod builders catalog (which you can currently ask for) is what they offer through their distribution system of dealers and distributors. They may, or may not, offer to bring fly tip sections like we sell which make excellent ice rod blanks. It may depend on what they have available in those, but the Avid SCB series blanks are their standard production runs which are established models now. I'm sure those would be shown at Charlotte. I would suspect new introductions on the ice blanks, if any, would be for next fall.
